  • Alabama ONE 2026 Scholarships

    The Alabama ONE Aspire Foundation scholarships are awarded to an Alabama ONE Members exhibiting outstanding academic, athletic, artistic,or professional performance to help with post-secondary education costs. Awards will be provided to the institution of the winner’s choice for their benefit.
  • Universal Eligibility Requirements:

    • Applicant must be an active Alabama ONE member in good standing.
    • Applicants will be judged by their GPAs, including high school and post-secondary institutions. If any of these are below 3.0, the application is disqualified.
    • Applicants will be judged by the amount of volunteer hours they achieve within the last 12 months, and those hours must be supported by official documentation (letterhead, signatures, organizational emails, or software reports). Applications with less than 10 officially documented community services hours will be disqualified.
    • Individual scholarship programs have more eligibility requirements.

    Selection:

    Applications will be reviewed, scored, and ranked by The Alabama ONE Aspire Foundation Scholarship Committee. Scholarships will be awarded based upon community involvement, GPA, and quality of application and attachments submitted. 

    * We only send funds to educational institutions (including trade and vocational schools). We won’t be sending funds to students themselves.

    Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

    The deadline to submit the application will be March 6, 2026.

  • Programs:

    • ARECU Scholarships are limited to credit union members who work for or receive power from an Alabama Rural Electric Cooperative and the dependents of those members. Individual awards are $4,000 for the 2026-2027 school year.
    • HBCU Scholarships are limited to credit union members who are planning to attend a Historically Black College or University. Individual awards are $4,000 for the 2026-2027 school year.
    • Community College Scholarships are limited to credit union members who are planning to attend a Community College. Individual awards are $2,000 for the 2026-2027 school year.
    • Skilled Trade Scholarships are limited to credit union members who are planning to attend a trade school. Individual awards are $1,000 for the 2026-2027 school year.
    • SEG Scholarships are limited to credit union members who work for a Select Employer Group Partner of Alabama ONE Credit Union and the dependents of those members. Individual awards are $4,000 for the 2026-2027 school year.
    • Merit Scholarships are awarded to those who submit the best applications each year. Individual awards are $5,000 for the 2026-2027 school year.
    • Needs Based Scholarships are limited to applicants that can prove a Pell Grant greater than $1,000 for the relevant school year. Individual awards are $6,000 for the 2026-2027 school year.
    • Team Member Scholarships are limited to Alabama ONE Team members who have volunteered at least 5 hours at an Alabama ONE Credit Union event. Individual awards are $1,500 for the 2026-2027 school year.
    • Next Generation Scholarships are limited to the dependents of Alabama ONE Team members who have volunteered at least 5 hours at an Alabama ONE Credit Union event. Individual awards are $1,500 for the 2026-2027 school year.
